On October 2, The Blackstone School in Boston's South End held its annual Open House, welcoming families into the school. As part of the event, Equitable School Partnerships of Boston (ESP Boston) coordinated with Artists for Humanity (AFH), a local organization that empowers youth through arts and employment experiences, to create an interactive mural experience for the Blackstone community. Students and families joined AFH artists to help color in a vibrant mural designed to capture the spirit of the Blackstone. The activity was highly engaging; everyone had fun contributing their own artistic touch.

The mural features the word “Blackstone” in bold block letters, illuminated by radiant rays symbolizing brilliance. Its design celebrates the diversity and energy that define the school community.

Generously funded by the Friends of Blackstone School, the mural turned out beautifully and will soon be displayed in the school’s corridors, brightening the space and reflecting the imagination and talent of its students.
