The Hurley School, a K-8 bilingual public school in Boston, hosted Enseña lo que Sabes (“Show What You Know”), an evening celebrating student achievement and creativity. Organized with support from Equitable School Partnerships (ESP), the numerous partner organizations run a range of arts programming at the school. The events brought families together to experience performances from students from their after-school arts programs as well as educational projects in other areas.
The showcases featured a diverse variety of talents by the participants: a Hurley chorus led by the Community Music Center of Boston (CMCB) and an orchestra of 3rd–6th
graders directed by the Boston Music Project. Additionally, students involved with the musical theater program lead by the North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) sang, acted and served as emcees. Students did an outstanding job, and clearly have learned a great deal as part of the programs.

More than a performance, these events highlighted the power of collaboration in enriching education. It provides students with meaningful access to the arts and gives families a chance to engage with the wider school community. Events like these reflect Hurley’s commitment to a well-rounded, inclusive education—nurturing academic, emotional, and artistic growth through strong community ties.
