ESP Hosts First Annual Fundraiser: An Evening of Celebration and Purpose

In June 2025, Equitable School Partnerships of Boston (ESP Boston) hosted its first annual fundraiser, An Evening of Celebration and Purpose, at JJ Foley’s in the South End. The event marked the one-year anniversary of ESP and brought together over 100 friends, partners, and supporters to celebrate a year of growth and impact.

It was an inspiring evening during which the ESP team shared their vision for bridging opportunity gaps in education and advancing equity across Boston’s schools. Together, we reflected on our accomplishments and renewed our commitment to creating more inclusive, joyful, and enriching learning environments for all students.

ESP’s founder and Executive Director, Emily Pierce, spoke passionately about the organization's goals and the urgent need for equity in public education.

"We know that a great education is more than test scores. It’s about building confidence, connection, and joy. When students have opportunities to move their bodies, express themselves creatively, and work as a team, research shows they are more resilient, attend school more regularly, and do better academically. We believe that in the name of equity, Boston’s public schools must serve as oases—places of safety, inclusion, and rich, holistic learning."

Thanks to the generosity of our community, the event raised over $15,000 in support of ESP’s mission. We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to this milestone evening. We look forward to continuing this work- together- and to hosting more events that inspire connection, action, and purpose.
