Dear Supporters, Family and Friends,

As the year comes to a close, we would like to express our gratitude to all of you! At Equitable School Partnerships (ESP) of Boston, we envision a world where every student - regardless of their neighborhood or socio-economic background - has access to the enrichment and resources they need to succeed. Your encouragement, collaboration, and commitment make our work possible!

Thanks to your generosity, in 2025 we have:

  • Provided 1,500 students in grades K0-8 with expanded learning opportunities

  • Broadened our support to two additional public school communities

  • Facilitated 31 enrichment programs, offering musical theater, dance, art, math, robotics, chess, wrestling, flag football, tennis, basketball, swimming lessons, orchestra, chorus, music therapy, biking, recess support, career preparation, adaptive play, and social-emotional support

  • Secured funding from a variety of private and public sources to make partnerships more affordable for public school leaders

These aren't just numbers. They represent 1,500 moments of discovery, skill-building, and teamwork that happen around our city every single week.

Consider the impact in just one school, Blackstone Elementary. Your support has enabled an interactive community mural, the Sharks swimming program, free flag football and tennis lessons, curriculum-aligned art classes, bilingual music instruction for the dual-language kindergarten cohorts, music therapy and adaptive play equipment for students with disabilities, and ongoing support for every partner operating in the building. These programs and initiatives increase school attendance, parent involvement and a sense of belonging - outcomes that can change the trajectory of a child’s life.

ESP’s partnership support empowers school leaders, honors school communities, and helps youth-serving organizations reach their full potential. Every public school in Boston relies on outside partners to meet the full learning needs of their students. However, most elementary schools lack the staff capacity necessary to effectively manage these partnerships. That’s where ESP comes in. We help schools assess, establish, and maintain affordable, impactful programming. In the coming year, our work will be even more critical as principals grapple with shrinking budgets, staffing cuts, and economic struggles that affect their student’s well-being.

This is why we need your help now. We have ambitious goals for 2026: we seek to expand our services to more students while lowering the cost for schools.

Will you help us close the opportunity gap for children in Boston?

In these uncertain times, we must unite as a community and spread joy where we can. By supporting ESP, you give the gift of confidence, creativity, and connection - experiences that shape a child’s future in profound ways. All donations to ESP are tax deductible and go directly toward facilitating enriching partnerships in Boston Public Schools, where 82% of students are designated as “high need”

Thank you for believing in our mission and for caring about the quality of public schools. Your generosity brings us one step closer to ensuring educational equity in our city.

The ESP Team wishes you a peaceful holiday season and a happy New Year.

With gratitude,

Emily
